an existentialist ethic

existentialism. it is a way of doing philosophy that stares our often messed up human experiences in the face and attempts to extract meaning or lack there of from it.

this is the difficulty of ethics in our age. how can we find hope in the midst of never-ending wars. of child soldiers. of greedy economies. of slavery. of mass murders. of an apathetic church.

if we do not hold to the hope of christ. if we do not leap into the absurdity of faith, then we are left with nothing.
